This year my coven hosted a public Ostara ritual, it was very nice to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. We were still questioning whether or spring was truly here as temperatures were still in the 30-40's. This may be typical for March weather in the North, but here in the South, we were still having more winter like weather. Due to the very cold and blustering wind, we had ritual indoors. The space was small, but it got the job done. We were just much "closer" than we expected, but all in all I think everyone had a nice time.
As part of our family activities, we always die eggs and draw rune symbols on them for use in ritual as a divination tool. We also used seed packets as well. This divination focused on what we will be facing these next few months until Summer or what we needed to pay attention to most.
And being a true cajun witch, a celebration is not complete withouth a feast! Our guests were very generous in their contributions. We had deviled eggs, pasta salad, spring veggies, cheesecake and of course lots of candy!
We hope everyone had a magical and blessed Ostara.
Blessed Be,
Autumn
